A look back on 1 year of entrepreneurship.
The past year was my first official year as a fulltime business owner, a scary yet fulfilling step I took to go after my dreams. In my first year I learned so much, business wise and personally. I made mistakes, cried, failed, had breakdowns and questioned my visions.
But on top of that, I had the honor to capture incredible, impactful and inspiring stories, successfully finishing film projects, while working with amazing people.
Here are some things I learned in my first year:
Have a balance in business
Prayer, patience and perseverance in everything!
Be on time
Be representable
Network in your field and outside
Create opportunities
You will make mistakes! It's what you do with it.
Use your resources
Feed yourself first
Be careful when sharing your plans
First observe, then serve
Take care of your finance wisely
Grow by expanding
Your 'Small' business, is a BUSINESS!
Trust your intuition
Fake it till you make it
Choose projects that are aligned with your values and vision
Know your (net)worth
Think BIG!
Know that there will always be problems
Learn how to deal with stress
Be passionate and work with passionate people
Trust the process and path you're going
Take challenges as a stepping stone
Train yourself to adapt in any situation
Everything you publish about yourself will either increase or decrease your (net) worth
“When you say 'yes' to others, make sure you aren't saying 'no' to yourself.” —Paulo Coelho
As I went through hundreds of pictures of the past year as an entrepreneur, I see memories of unforgettable, life changing and pleasurable projects with the most impactful people I've ever met.
I'm forever grateful for everyone who supported me in this journey; God, my family, close friends and support system. And I'm looking forward to many more successful years.
